Welcome to the first entry in our 2009 Land's End to John O'Groats blog.

Legal & General Investment Management, Gartmore, Liontrust, Schroders, UBP, Hymans Robertson, Mercer, LCP, Watson Wyatt, Hewitt and GR Communications. What do all of these organisations have in common ?

Well, Craig Brown and a group of his cycling friends representing these organisations are taking on the challenge of cycling from one end of the UK to the other. The 'big' cycle is sponsored by Legal & General Investment Management and will commence on 12th June @ 8.00am at Lands End and will aim to reach John O'Groats at around 5.00pm on 20th June. Nine days cycling in all and over 1000 miles in total.

We are raising money for THE FRIENDS OF BROOKLANDS SCHOOL and would really appreciate your support. Brooklands Special Needs School in Reigate, Surrey is for severely disabled children for example cerebral palsy, down's syndrome, autism and very physically handicapped children. Interactive whiteboards are a fantastic tool for engaging with the children and we aim to raise sufficient funds to purchase one for the junior class.
